The Ontario has just doubled the amount it spends on surgeries performed in private clinics and private hospitals.
OCHU-CUPE and the Ontario Health Coalition are kicking off a multi-community tour to push to keep surgeries in our public hospitals. The tour involves a giant wooden Trojan Horse, which is a metaphor for a gift which looks attractive, but which is actually very dangerous. For-profit surgeries cost twice as much as those performed in our hospitals.
Thanks for the great turn out!
